The results of industrial involving of bentonite produced by Bentonit at the deposits of Sibneft NNG Inc.

The experience of industrial use PBMB bentonite on Sibneft NNG enterprises in 2002 and 2003 had shown that bentonite produced by Bentonit of the highest quality for drilling fluids production, due to the mud yield, surpassing all the other bentonite products. Using of PBMB bentonite powder in drilling industry, particularly on Sibneft NNG drilling deposits allowed to diminish bentonite consumption in two-three times. Transportation expenses dealing with deliveries to the consumers and to the rig sides reduced in two times. High colloidity and high ability to disperse in water, in combine with domestic or import polymer reagents let to increase the quality of drilling fluids, improve washover of directional drilling boreholes; give 20-30 % reduction of polymer reagents consumption.

On the base of the Bentonit bentonite inhibited solutions made from Na-polymersilicate and polymerstabilizers Kamcel-3, Saypan, Kamcel PAC (K-PAC) were created. Bentonite provides polymer-clay drilling fluids creating with technical requirements for borehole washover in sand-clay rocks that makes possible to receive 1,03-1,04g/cm³suspension density, 35-40 sec. viscosity, gels 1/10min are 95,7/133,4 Pa*10^-1, PV=9,2mPa*s, AV=18,6mPa*s, YP=89,2 Pa*10^-1, filter cake thickness mdash 2mm, stick of filter cake 8,50, рН=9,3-9,8, that presents high bentonite colloidity and high dispersion ability in water. To get the same bentonite suspension with Serpuhovskiy bentonite, 6% bentonite additive in aqueous phase is required and it is two times greater than requested with Bentonit products.

Bentonit and Scientific Industrial Association Burovaya Tehnica are currently working at the improving of bentonite powders quality with yield more than 20 m³/t. Bentonite powder additions to cement are currently working up. According to consumer request bentonite compositions for drilling fluids and cements of the inquiry quality could be produced and delivered.
